My first trad BUCK
« on: October 13, 2009, 01:09:00 PM »
Well guys, I killed my first traditional buck last night. I killed a doe last year, but was not able to seal the deal on a buck.

But last night was a different story. He is nothing huge, but I am very happy with him. I was using a 53# zipper shooting easton axis arrrows tipped with steelforce broadheads. The shot was about 16 yards and I took out both lungs. Somehow, there was very little for a bloodtrail and he went over 500 yards. I was seriosly questioning my shoot, but we ended up finding him. I got the whole thing on video and will upload the vid once I get it edited.

Nice Buck for a first Trad Kill.  They can go a long way sometimes. The main thing you recovered him. Good job tracking as well.  Rick J
