Had an idea- we have TONS of squirrels. In February 5,6,and 7, 2010 you guys got nothing to do, right?
I'm going to give away one free squirrel hunt in a drawing on Thanksgiving Eve. Just sign up at the back of this thread with your name and we'll put them in a hat.
At the hunt itself, we're going to have prizes for the most squirrels- first place gets a free HOG hunt at a later date, and the most armadillos gets a return squirrel hunt the next year.
The hunt that starts on a Friday morning and runs through Sunday afternoon.
We would need you to camp, but we do have bathrooms and showers. We'd have big fires, and ..smores for the kiddies if you bring one, and lots of campfire tall-tales.You can arrive on Thursday after noon and set up.
We'll have 20 slots...and we'd provide a big fancy meal Friday and Saturday night, and breakfast on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings for everyone.
The cook for the weekend is a gourmand, and he'll prepare fresh seafood gumbo or maybe a low country boil- shrimp, crabs, clams, oysters, and such with corn on the cob, potatoes, and seasoning, throw it all on a big table covered in newspaper and everybody gets their fill.
Coyotes, armadillos are also fair game.
Cost? $160.00 per adult, kids under 14 are $100. If you are an adult you have to get a 40 dollar three day nonresident license gets you three days of fun and cameraderie and hopefully some better weather than where you're at!
You can either Paypal your funds to

More squirrels than I've ever seen anywhere in my life....you will have a good time- I promise! If this goes well, we'll make it a yearly event.
