kme sharpener
« on: October 15, 2009, 07:40:00 PM »
i just opened the mail to find my new kme went straight to work on my knives.
i did not know how uneven the edges on my knives were untill i used this.
i could get just about any knife sharp but know they will pell hair off my arm just by waving the blade at them the hairs jump off my arm and cry for mercy. exellent product

Wait until you give a "virgin" knife its first sharpening.

You'll be amazed that anything could leave the factory that "unperfect" and still cut anything.

Fantastic product!!  I got the knife sharpener and used it on a never used bear razorhead from 51 years ago and got it hair shaving sharp.  Turns out it was moose killing sharp too.  A field dressed 1040 pound moose fell to it on Sept. 30.  Thanks for a great product.

I bought my KME at Denton Hill last year.  Best sharpener that I own. Puts a super edge on my broadheads.

There are two kinds of people...those with KME sharp gear and those without.

Do you guys buy the stones that he offers with the KME Broadhead sharpener or do you just use a stone you already have?

Good question ishoot4thrills. How well does this sharpener work on mounted broadheads? Any awkwardness?

If you have stones, you might get by with the BH Sharpener, but the Knife needs a special size - its with the kit....fwiw - the stones he sells are some of the best available.

If you have any questions, ask Ron; you won't find better customer service anywhere.  Call him and he'll talk you through whatever issue you're having.

I bought the broadhead sharpener and it is awesome, the bevel now looks like it was machined on the broadhead. DO NOT run your finger down the broadhead, they do not feel sharp due to the steep angle , but they will cut cut cut!!!!

I just thought my shaving sharp broadheads were sharp before I bought this jig. I'm still learning with this jig , wondering how hard the edge will be to touch up after shooting something with it. As of right now it is the best ever IMO .
