Seems I am l always looking for winter bowhunting gloves. It get cold up here(wis)and most are thick and feel weird holding a bow. Not to mention they make your hand s slip.So what do you guys/gals wear when it get cold out? I have a great idea for a pair but don't know anyone who could make them?<><

I have some wool and Thinsulate ones right now that I found. I forget where I found them. They're kinda thick, but soft, and they have the non slip knobies on them. I cut the first 3 finger tips off the one glove so I could wear my shooting glove inside and the tips will stick out.
When it gets really cold though, I'll use those glomits that you can keep your fingers covered until it's go time.

Someone used to market unshorn sheepskin chopper mittens for really cold weather- maybe Paul Brunner?
I agree I do not like the feeling of shooting a bow with gloves on. I have a pair of huge choppers with a harness that allows the choppers to hang down to about waist height. They were old military issue from the Army, when I served in Alaska. Only good for stand hunting tho.

Mechanics gloves work great until it gets REAL cold. I have a pull over anorak type jacket with hand warmer pocket but the hanging hand warmer pockets work great too when its below 0. Make sure the hand warmer is the tube type that allows you to reach your hands together in the middle. And use those warmer packets in it.

I use a wool glove on my left hand, and a wool mitten, that opens at the palm, on the right hand. That way I can flip the mitten back away from my shooting fingers when I need.
