This is an itsy bitsy picture but the cabin is in the upper left.

Here's the latitude:   39°22'44.22"N
Here's the longitude:   86° 3'10.68"W

If you send me an email, I can send you a Google Earth placemark.

Are you doing the dowel rod/nutter arras?

I've got some shafts with hex heads, steel blunts and my nutters....I'll be packing a bow-in-progress and my knapping start up kit, hoping to find a knapper to help me start.

A couple of us will be in Friday evening and out by Saturday evening, cause someone else is booked in the cabin for Sunday. But, we should have a good Saturday.

I was looking at the hunting areas on Atterbury Fish and Wildlife Area. They have some interesting areas I would like to check out. Like "Honker Haven", "Possum Puddle", "Mallard Marsh", "Gopher Hole", 'Coyote Marsh", and "Mink Meadow Marsh".

My son and I will be there at about noon on Friday.

Guys, I am not going to make it this year, and was really looking forward to it.

I have the oppurtunity to work that weekend and with losing my job back at the first of the year have to take advantage of it!

Take lots of picture's and let me know how it went!

Billy,

Yes, I am making some ramin arrows.  2 fletch, with a field point and they cost me less than a buck each.  Now find me some bunnies to fling these things at.

My son James is probably a 90% not gonna make it.  He said something about sitting around a fire Friday night with a bunch of old folks doesn't sound like much fun  :)

I'm pondering just going home late Friday and then dragging him back there in the morning for the hunting.

I've got some poplar dowel soaked in Danish oil arrows coming along very well. I don't think they are under a dollar, but still pretty cheap!  :D

This is gonna be fun!

Oooh snow.  Should stick around 'til Saturday!  We got 2" or so on the Southside of Indy.  Atterbury's 30 miles south of me so we should have some on the ground down there.

There is a sign for Johnson County Park at 252 and 325E.  The Boy Scout Cabin is North of the park.

Here are the directions to the park from their website.

From Indy:
Take I-65 South to Exit 90 (Franklin) --- go west on SR 44 to US Hwy. 31--- turn left onto 31. Go 5 miles to SR 252 West --- turn right. (Just before you turn you’ll see a HUGE rocking chair at Long’s Furniture World.) Take SR 252 W two miles to County Road 325 E --- turn left. You will see Johnson County Park/Hoosier Horse Park signs at the turn. The park is located 2 miles south on that road, which becomes Schoolhouse Road.

From Louisville:
Take I-65 North to Exit 76-B (Edinburgh) --- you’ll see Edinburgh Outlet Mall. Go to the third traffic light, counting the one at the mall --- turn left at the 3rd light. You’ll turn onto Hospital Road, although there isn’t a sign at that location. You will see Camp Atterbury, Johnson County Park and Hoosier Horse Park signs as you approach. Go 3 miles to Schoolhouse Road --- turn right.
