First Trad Deer
« on: October 19, 2009, 08:40:00 PM »
Shot my first archery deer with an old bear grizzly back in '82 but had one sight pin on the bow.  Been working on shooting instinctive for 2 years now and had my first success this year.  My brothers are also shooting traditional this year and we are having a ball.  I got a doe at 15 yrds on Oct. 2 and my brother got his first traditional deer the afternoon before mine.  I am including pics of our deer and deer camp in western OK.

A little practice at mid day.

One of my brothers telling a big story about the one that got away.

Congrates to you and your brother. My brother is hunting this year with a recurve also, first time since we were kids. Nothing quite like bows and bros!

Love the pic of your bro telling the story, just starting his draw...

I believe that a Bear Grizzly with one sight pin is still trad. But you done good to take the fine doe and with family to boot!

I am in the process right now of making some summer sausage from a whitetail doe I shot- if they weren't meant to hunt; why are they made of candy?

 Congrats !!
