Thomas,

Love that picture of the arrow.  It tells the story.  Great looking kids!

I'd go to Paris Tx. maybe !
Simple recipe, cut the backstrap into about 1/2 inch strips, tenderize lightly, put in egg and milk  for a bit and then into a mix of seasoned italian bread crumbs and a little flour, mix in some salt, pepper, and a little Toneys  or something similar. put the venison in and cover with mix then into the hot grease. The main thing is the same with all venison, DONT over cook it. Just till it turns golden brown.
Pour a cold beer and eat !
Good stuff!!   :)

Thomas, since I am now your newly adopted 31 year old child, (complete with new wife)  I assume I will be getting a "care package of tasty southern whitetail" on my porch deliverd from U.P.S.  If you want to send that Dale Dye with it...I won't complain.  Also...If you are wondering what kind of beer goes with southern whitetail, and you want to send that too...I'm pretty impartial to bush light. HA!    THANKS DAD!

I was completely blown out of my usual hunting spots so I put my climber on my back and took off into the woods, found a new spot based on what YOU taught me,

John, you have to come down here and shoot your own !!

Good Scotch too if I remember.
The old order is passing. Swiftly receding into memory are the days of strong, earnest men who followed an atavistic yearning to pit their skills against wild animals.
