Monty Browning???
« on: October 22, 2009, 08:14:00 PM »
Does anyone know what Monty is up to these days?  I haven't seen much of him in the TBM lately.  I'm curious what bows and arows he shoots now?  He's always shot Hill style longbows and extremely heavy arrows.  Age takes its toll and hope he is healthy.  He's been a fan of mine for twenty years.  Its a shame he hasn't written more about his knowledge and experiances afield.

Saw him speak at a NYB dinner a few years ago. One of the speakers they ever had...very entertaining and a good presentation...

I've heard Monty speak before at a PBS Banquet and also at a Nebraska rendevous.  Two of the best times I've had. Can't wait for his book.

Monty was our guest speaker for the North Dakota Bow Hunters Association last year in Grand Forks ND. Great guy and story teller.

I too am looking forward to his book. I talked with him for about an hour about his latest moose hunt a few weeks back. Sounds like he is doing just fine! A Southern gentleman!

He is in my opinion, an unsung hero as they say in traditional archery.  Wished he'd come to Texas.
