How to make a "winter" April day fun!!!!Lots of fun pics,
« on: April 06, 2007, 02:09:00 PM »
Like this..
These were in the gun shooting range,>> NOT VERY SMART<<,I snuk up on'em using the 100yrd burm, behind them is the 150yrd burm. They were 20 yards from me when I first got to the top of this burm. Season opens in about three weeks up here.

Can you find the target in this picture?

Our favorite target of the day,,

my best shot of the day,, 40 yards first shot at this goat on the side of the ridge. dans arrow is in the neck but he followed up with a big old miss,,LOL,,,I missed this target last week at about 4 feet high,,,LOL

Dan followed up with this shot after a good ribbin from me on the goat and then he had the last good laugh,, His face says it all doesn't it. I missed once and finally sank it in high,, target was about 45 yards from a platform.

A tight shot for sure but we both sunk it in there for a good shot. Mine is the white nockv and Dans is about 4" higher and left but a kill shot for sure. 30 plus yards for that shot.

We had the hardest time today with those black targets. Wether it was a bear or a boar.

we both made a sweet shot on this bear. Kinda funny we shot just about the same spot.

Its been so cold here the ponds refroze over.

Wouldn't you know it,, this course starts with a  Great Whitebuffalo.

This range is at my club and is just set real nice. Last week I joined this club after shooting this range with Robslift and  Anoitedarcher we had a blast but were rained out with a boomer storm but we stuck it out as much as possible.

Thanks Jason B.

Jason looks like a great time.  I wish there were some 3-D corses like that a little closer to me.  I dont know of any that are south of GR.  Looks like a good day to me.

Tim ,This corse is top notch.; They just got the targets out. They move them like once a month so there not in the same spot all year long. They will be gettin the horns and such toghether for the targets, they made all repairs neccary to get them out and now they'll fine tweak the corse and add all the rest. If your ever in my neck of the woods and can spare a couple hours get a hold of me.

over&under, this is very addicting for me and for you as well A.

Looks like a lot of fun!

What kind of gloves are you shooting with? It's warm here now, but every winter I am trying to figure out a warm shooting glove solution.
Directions: Hike, camp, hunt, fish, wash, rinse, repeat.

I'm upset. All of the sandlum, chokecherry and mullberrys were in full blum. I doubt if I will get anything this summer.

I just have a damascus glove under my light hunting glove, I like to keep those instant warmers in my pocket to keep my fingers warm but with all the shooting today I didn't need it. I also have one of those hand warming thing you wrap around your waist and put your hands in and that nice when its not to cold.

Sure looks like a good time.

I`m guessing your friends bow is a Martin Mamba.
I had one of those. Great little powerhouse.
Bought a flemish string for it that was supposed to be dacron. Turns out it was fast flight. Limb tips couldn`t take it. I guess they just put the wrong string in the bag.

Anyhow, no better way to pass a winters April day.
I sure do like to see everyones pictures.

So how did you guys do on the novelty turkey shot in the first picture? Some clubs go the extra mile on there novelty shoots!
