Nice Buck Encounter - Video
«

Had an encounter with a nice buck on Saturday morning. We are on the verge of the rut starting in my neck of the woods. I've been rattling in some bucks with some real light tickling of the horns right at daybreak.
Just before the sun came over the hills, I hit the horns and this guy showed up. He came to about 75 yards then bedded down. He bedded there until 10:30am...and decided to get up and move down the ridge.
I grunted, rattled and can called him during the 3 hour showdown but he didn't respond other than look my direction. I have about 20 minutes of footage and I cut it down to when he stood up to leave. This is my first attempt at putting video footage on tradgang so bear with me! He is on the right 3rd of the frame.

Man, Like Bill Duke said to Jesse Ventura in Predator "Man this is some gawdawful bush", and The body replied "Yeah, if you get lost in here, you're in a world a' hurt".

Wow!!!
Looks like 3 or 4 up on the left side not counting the brows. Did you get a better look at him off camera? Gotta be at least a 10 point.
Hope ya get him in range and the gods of the hunt smile instead of snigger at ya.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Very nice buck... I'd have tried the snort-wheeze call with a buck that size. Hard to say if it would've bothered him enough to get up tho'.
Good luck!
