Figured I take a few minutes here and see how everyone is doing this fall. Although I have close to 6 weeks off, my season has started with family problems and my time in the woods has been very limited.
The other night I managed to put a nice doe down for some freezer meat but missed a easy 18 yd shot at a dumb red fox. Beautiful pelt....Last week my cell phone starts vibrating while I'm bowhunting with the other 2 Tri State Terrors in Jersey. My wife was calling...my 95 yr old mom needed emergency assistance.
Thank God I have good buddies..we were out of the woods and I made the long trek home. Spending the night in the ER isn't fun but my 2 sons helped out making the night tolerable. Things are now shaping up for mom. It's not easy living in a walker...
I'm not hunting tonite, wife and I have cooked her 3 days worth of meals so I can sneak out and bowhunt this week for 2 days. Congrats to those who have "put one down" and for the rest...Keep the Faith, hunt hard and shoot straight. I'll check back in later this week....
