Mothballs don't smell like humans...heck maybe it will attract them 8^). Hang it outside for a few days...out of the rain and try a little Fabreeze. If that don't work put it in a box for a day with some whole cloves.

Try 1 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup baking soda, no detergent. Just toss them in the washing machine like normal. When you take them out they will have a little of the vinegar smell, dry in the dryer and the smell is gone when done. I left my hunting clothes hanging in the basement and this got rid of the musty smell. I hunted in the rain and the smell didnt come back...Roy

Find a cedar tree. Grab some needles and rub them all over inside & out hang to dry... If you still have a smell spray with water'd down lemon juice, repeat w/cedar needles.

I put the wool in a bag of leaves and leave it outside for a few days.
