so how do you like it, compared to the old chekmate design? i am anxious for a chekmate, and am very curious how this design fairs

I really like that slimmer design better. I have a small hand and that looks like it would fit perfect. Congrats!

i love both of my chekmates...but this one just fits me well! im sure this new riser is going to be a hit! although i shoot my other 56" hunter well...the grip can be a bit bulky. this one solves all that.

Being that Marc is now the "owner" I expect that there will be a bunch of new designs...he is starting to "catch up " on orders too...stay tuned as he will be coming out with some new stuff early next year. I have a couple of his other prototypes that cannot be released as yet...how about a shorty recurve with "siyahs"...or a mix between his crusader and longhorn...another cool design!!

I handled that bow and like it a lot.It has a great feel, the smaller grip is a big improvement.
Marc is now free to be a creative and improve on the old reliable designs he has been building for years. Expect to see some new designs from Cheak Mate.

yes it is an improvement!this is my first time with phenolic risers also...dennis is right, they have a grain pattern to them, that i actually like. pretty neat.

Chek-mate does not have an official website...the website you are referring to is Chad Weavers...www.recurves.com
Chad only sells Chek-mate bows...Marc will have a website up and running by the new year.

its still recurves.com...also dennis still ( i believe) has a very nice chekmate in the sponsors classifieds! zebrawood and either action or diamondwood. i think marc sent him both( mine and the other) to sell.
