The one i have now you simply step through the straps and then tighten the belt up. It also has bags on the belt to put your steps in or a saw etc.

Do you have a full body harness now ? If not buy a Summit SOP, it has the D loops on the waist area for just this purpose.

The tree hopper is nice, I just bought one. Didn't care for the rope that came with it so I put together a different one.

I use a rock climbers seat- Black Diamond I believe.  I use it as a harness as well.  Light and simple.

I'm kinda surprised they still sell a safety device like the treehopper.  I thought all the waist belt devices were pretty much banned anymore?  Something about squeezing your waist/chest to the point that you die if you fall in one.  Not to mention getting upside down.

If it was strictly a climbing belt I could MAYBE see it but in their pictures it shows the guy sitting in a stand with it hooked up like a fall protection belt.

Sorry, but I'll stick to the full body types.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

I searched on the internet for "Rope Ropelling Harness".  I found a site that shows you how to make a rope ropelling harness.  I used this with a linesmans rope.

I use a HSS vest for hunting but for hanging stands, can't beat that Tree Hopper belt system.  I put a old fanny pack on my belt to hold steps, screw, straps, etc. and it works great and allows hands free attachment to the tree and can double as a safety belt as well, if needed.

The question was for a recommendation for use while hanging stands.

The Summit SOP has it all there for climbing, fall restraint and dragging deer.
