Birth of a new Black Swan riser. You get to see it here first!
« on: October 29, 2009, 10:06:00 PM »
The new improved belly mount riser. I like the belly mount myself and over the last couple of days have been discussing some upgrades for the riser and improvements with Arvid. He did some outstanding work. This riser will shoot the new foam core limbs that mount on the back mount riser. It has a deeper shelf for a little more hand clearance, a little longer grip and a a flatter outside surface for those who want AMO holes. This riser has a better balance also. This is the work up model that was sent to the foundry today to make the new mold for them in Rh and a LH was also sent. They will be available in a few weeks and then a medium/high grip will be done. I think this one is pretty sleek looking and can't wait to get my paws on one!

Here we go again. Just when I thought I had my mind made up about a new bow, I see something that looks so intriguing. Looks very nice.

Do you have a photo with it strung up? Will it be longbow, recurve, hybrid, or all of these? Looks great! Thanks, Ken

It will be all Ken. No strung pictures for a couple of weeks. This is the casting model.

Hey Dave,

The Black Swan's have always had my interest, does he do any grip modifications, maybe a higher / recurve style grip?

After these get done he will be doing a medium high version. I'll post pics when those are made up in a few weeks.

Johnny Reb, the Stealth is a name we're kicking around. The shape reminds me of a Stealth Bomber and how important is Stealth to the Trad Hunter?    ;)

I think he's out about three months right now. So if you ordered now you could have one of the first completed. It will only take a day to get the medium wrist model done from these when they come back from the foundry and about two weeks to get the actual risers. Took him two/three days to make the two that went in yesterday.

Sweet looking rig!  I like Stealth too...and it definately makes me think of the smooth black stealth bombers, once you mentioned that!

I got to quit looking at your threads!  That grip looks like it might just be perfect. Oh no here we go again.

Looks great!!

Do you know what the difference in performance between the belly mount riser and standard is going to be?

Won't know if there is any until the actual finished risers are done. The limbs may draw a little lighter on the belly mount, maybe a pound, but need to test to be sure.

Stealth is the official name now. I told Arvid I wasn't the only one who liked the name for it so there you go.
