What's up lefties?
« on: October 29, 2009, 11:18:00 PM »
Just been down in the classifieds. What's with all the left-handed bows for sale/trade/wanted? 21 out of the top 24 adverts are all for left handed bows!

Wierd!   :biglaugh:

Going to be hard for Rob's software improvements to clean up the classifieds if someone keeps TTTing dead ads that didn't get marked sold. Folks with active ads are going to get buried also.

vermonster13- I'd like to know what the motivation is too- Why go through the trouble of bumping up all those lefty adds?

Bowmarks- are you admitting that lefties as a general rule are stronger?  :bigsmyl:

Sorry.  I didn't think about Rob's software.  I just got tired of sifting through for the lefties.

Oh, and I don't think that I went back any further than the beginning of October.

When you do a search just look at the post date. Won't be any over 90 days anymore and if it is over 10 days odds are the response from the original poster is going to be slow. Now all those ads have a new 90 day lease on life because the end of the month is when the clean-up kicks in each month and that would be Saturday.

Yeah, like I said. Sorry.  Maybe we could get a lefty section on the classifieds?

We don't need anymore Forums to monitor. There is something like 90 as it is. For the price (free) the Classifieds here are the best deal on the Web for Trad shopping.

Not disputing that.  I know you guys go to alot of trouble, and it is appreciated.  Sorry for any trouble.  I went back and looked, and I only put things ttt from around the last 3 weeks.  I won't do it again.

Being a lefty I understand, but just look at it this way- if you have to search for it maybe others didn't bother or missed it and you might get a good deal you other wise might not have. It's part of the fun.

Sorry for getting the guys on you, just din't understand why it was happening  :(

pdk25,

I too am a lefty and I find it easy to search for left handed bows. When you are in the Traditional Bow Forum, simply do a search using lh, left or left hand and pick the amount of history you want. Normaly all the right handed bows go away unless for some reason some body puts the word left or letters lh in a right handed bow ad.

I was looking at the classifieds and was wondering what the heck was going on with all the lefties as well. Never saw so many in a row before.

Gatekeeper,

Thanks for the tip.  It'll help at least me avoid the issue created by folks who don't say which the bow is when they do their ad title.
