Yeehawww, Off to Texas for a month
« on: October 30, 2009, 11:17:00 AM »
Well, I jump on the plane tomorrow and leave the tropics behind for a month. Gonna be hunting with my bro for deer and hogs. First I have a 4 day hunt at Solana Ranch then off to my bros house in Sherman. Then we have a 4 day hunt down in South Texas near Larado for deer, hogs and turkey. Plus, my wonderful sister-in-law tells me that she has some friends with a big place up in Oklahoma that are begging us to come up and kill some hogs, seems they have a problem with them, hopefully we can accomodate,LOL. Gonna be fun, have not been home to hunt in two years so I am really looking forward to this. Wish us luck. Hopefully I will have some stories to post.

Now Danny, you forgot one thing. Don't you owe Kimber a trip to the Coach outlet?

Danny -

The weatherman must have heard you were coming. This next week is supposed to be bluebird days as opposed to what we have had for the last 6 weeks. This month (October) has been the 6th wetest in history. I live about 30 miles south of the DFW metro-mess and logged 27" of rainfall since October 1st. this next week should be fine, but BRING YOUR RAIN GEAR!

I can't wait we have had this hunt planned for over a year. I am relly looking forward to it. The place in OK was just offered. They are really having a hog problem, so hopefully we can thin that down a bit. I may check with them to see if I can put a all trad hunt together if enough people on here are interested. Ther is a lake nearby that has cabins for $12.00 a night so lodging would be cheap. The cabins are heated with bunks and electric and a grill on the porch.
