Treestand replacement
« on: October 30, 2009, 10:42:00 PM »
Well, I need help guys!!  History, I have used a Loc on Spirit treestand for over decade, just didn't like the low seat.  Well it got stolen two years ago, so I bought a Summit Copperhead.  Liked the stand and loved the seat, little more to set up but okay.  Well, me and buddy went in yesterday at 2:00 and set some stands, went to work that night, walked in the morning to hunt and someone stole the Summit (I found out who and will get revenge, for the strap was frayed).  So, my problem is I have been looking at Muddy outdoors Hunter Pro stand and like the looks of it was wondering if anyone used them or have other suggestions?  I use hang on stands and hunt public propety with climbing stick.  Don't really want to pay more than 150.oo dollars.

Todd, I have a few different models you can look at and play with.  Give me a call, I'm around most mornings.

Hey Todd, the Lone Wolf Alpha and sticks are a great combo.
It'll go in most trees that'll hold ya. The leveling seat and platform is a big, big plus! Don't forget the offset bracket, another great addition, worth every penny! I too hang and take my stand down every sit and doing it with the LW is a breeze!

I use nothing but Gametamer treestands. I hunt in Tx and climbers do not work down here. There are nearly no straight trees. The Gametamer is a little on the heavy side but there is not another treestand that is as comfortable as a Gametamer.

I like Gorilla stands, they just seem sturdy and quiet.

That's why I only use the $35.00 Dicks chain ons,If they steal it you are not out that much money. But I do modify the seat by taking the one it comes with and use a door hinge and a 3/4 piece of plywood and make a foam and vinyl seat.I'm six foot three and can't stand a low seat on a stand so with the plywood you can make it as high as you want and you don't hurt your knees.

That'd be great toddster... I looked at these stands at the QDMA Convention this year and they look awesome...Quality and adaptability.  Can't wait to see how you  like it.
