If we're talking $500 for a NEW bow, it would be a 21st Century longbow made with the basic wood combination.

Kanati by JK Traditions! They are fast, quiet, and accurate. You can have a custom R/D bow for just under $500. Jason Kendall is a great bowyer and a great guy.
