Young Lukester gets Published!
« on: April 07, 2007, 03:38:00 PM »
I took a peek at the current Primitive Archer and, low&behold, there's a very familiar name on the back page.

Luke van der Vennen!

I haven't even had a chance to read the column yet, but I wanted to post here to let everyone know that 'Little Fred' is on the path  :D

(I know he's not the only member from here to be published, but it's nice to see the next generation stepping up)

     :clapper:

Jake
(who knew Luke when he was just a young punk.. oh wait... he still is!       :p   )

Jake, do you think this might cause his head to swell?  I'm concerned...if his melon gets any bigger his teen-aged body may not be able to support it.

Seriously though, way to go Luke, congratulations!!

Hey Jim,

Well, I once gave him a fedora I was fond of.  I figure this way he might have no use for it and give it back  ;)

Not surprised in the least. Never met him, but from posts and a few shared pm's, it didn't take long to realize that this kid's going to do some great things for trad bowhunting...

Way to go Luke!!!!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

I saw that, Luke, saw it, read it, and liked it - as I was sure I would when I saw your name in the by line. Bless your (perceptive) heart.
