If Joliet Jake were a bowhunter:

-I ran out of gas.

-I, I had a flat tire.

-I didn't have enough money for cab fare.

-My "camo" didn't come back from the cleaners.

-An old friend came in from out of town.

-Someone stole my "truck".

-There was an earthquake.

-A terrible flood.

-Locusts!

Be safe. Stay healthy.

God bless,

José

"My wife and mother in law plot against me."

I actually have a real excuse, "The water pump just went out on my car!" Just happened today, arrgghh!!
Just one more step please!

He was close, but I wanted to see if I could get him in closer. It's the challenge you know, not how far you can shoot! :saywhat:

My real excuse right now is; I pulled something in my shoulder/neck and can't get out during the rut. I'm seriously in pain right now.

I couldn't remember if I was supposed hunt with the wind or against it. 50/50 chance and Murphy tossed the coin.

> My nocks were too tight.
> My nocks were too loose.

George, this is a great thread, but I need to warn you that I am gonna steal these, not as excuses, but to let friends know how I feel about something they said or an option they shared.   They're great.

Let's say someone says something you don't agree with..."Hey,  I think your nock may be a little loose there."

Or let's say someone makes things harder than it should be..."Hey I think your nock may be a little tight there"

See!

Stay tuned, coming to a thread in the near future! :-)

Only excuse that I have is that I didn't follow Carl Roe's advice and go squirrel hunting instead of deer hunting.
