Anyone know what the spine deflection is for wood arrows-
50-55, 60-65, 65-70, 70-75, 75-80. I'm trying to match up wood and alum. to get a woodie in the .440 to .475 range.

.450 is 57.8 lb, .475 is 54.7 lb I would say you are looking for 55-59 lb shafts.

The formula is: 26/deflection = spine

At one time, spine was often measured and indicated by the deflection in thousandths of an inch rather than pounds. Occasionally I will see it written on old shafts from when they were spine checked.

Thanks Fletcher- that helps alot. A little algebra and now I have a whole list of wood deflections.
