Christened My Toelke Whip today
«

Up until this morning I had spent alot of time in my stands without seeing many deer. The one time I had a deer in range it was a button buck that I did not want to take. This morning though, bucks were chasing does first thing. I saw a couple small 6 pointers early on that never came within range and paid no mind to my grunt call since they were hot on some does. About an hour after they were gone this little 3 point came through on his own. He was walking parallel to my stand out of range so I hit the grunt call. He stopped and turned. One more hit on the grunt and he proceeded to within 10 yards of me. The shot was a pass through and I found him dead in a creek about 60 yards from the shot. I have to say that I always like my Assenheimer recurve but this Toelke Whip is even more of a pleasure to shoot and hunt with.

Gerardo, I use Wensel Woodsman heads. The last buck I got with the Assenheimer was also with the WW head. I think they fly great and punch an awesome hole in deer.
