Frist with recurve

A friend and I went out hunting on public ground this afternoon. I was in my tree stand about twenty minutes when I heard a buck grunting. I could hear it walking but couldn't see it because of thick brush. Then it was all quiet. I waited about five minutes and then I grunted on my tube a couple of times. Nothing happened. After a few more minutes I used my can and bleated a couple of times. In about two minutes I heard him walking behind me. I turned and got ready and he appeared about fifteen yards out. I drew and picked a spot when he was quartering away. The arrow took him in the last rib and came out his left shoulder. As he was running I saw my arrow in the dirt. He ran about forty yards and I heard him crash. Then all was quiet. I called my friend on the cell and he came down and we followed the blood trail together. It was a humbling experience to get my first deer with a recurve and share the experience with my friend. I was using a Bob Morrison Shawnee with arapaho limbs, 46 at 28, 56". With gold tips 35/55 and Magnus broadheads 125 grain with 50 grain insert. I purchased this bow on this site about a month ago and love it.
