first Mule deer

Here is my first mule deer w/ a bow. 4X4,250lbs. My bow is a 52" Maddog longbow 44# @26". Complete penetration. Cedar arrow w/ 125 gr Magnus 2 blade.

Did you stalk him from the ground? Do many people hunt from tree stands out west? Where'd you hit him? How far did he go man?!

Need more details for an easterner!

Excellent pics, too. Although the first 2 may get deleted by the mods because of the size.

Shot was 12yds.Quatering on. Took out 1 lung,liver and out through the stomach. Traveled about 800yds before he piled up. After the shot,I knew I hit him a little far back so I let him lay for 3 hrs. Found him stone dead. My 10yr old daughter took the pics for me.

That is one beautiful muley. Tell your daughter she did a great job on the pictures. Congratulations! You might have a hard time finding a better deer than that!   :thumbsup:

Bowhunting mule deer is a blast!  I'm headed out for a rifle hunt for them tomorrow and bringing my bow too!
