Alright boys, alright...
Things started out pretty interesting this week. Took two days off to do some serious deer hunting. Now, in these two days, I've seen turkeys and deer. I've shot at countless squirrels. Was even serenaded by a pack of coyotes. Yet, nothing on the meatpole.
Now, Ken and I have a truly special stand. It really is an amazing place. It's also smack-dabe in the middle of a typical northern zone gun season. I've been told time and time again how impossible it is to take a deer; heck, a buck (anterless aren't legal up north during rifle). So let's see...highly pressured deer, antler restrictions; that occursed blaze orange wrapped around me. A hike up a mountain vs a nice level field. What's a bowhunter to do?
Ten minutes after this pondery, I was relishing the burn as my legs took that mountain for all it had...
