50 yr. old bow makes meat

In memory of my Dad and an anniversary to the bow, I shot this doe last night with my Dads 1959 Kodiak.Double lung complete pass through and watched her go down in 40 yds. 1959 Bear Kodiak,64", 50# @ 30", Bear broadhead on homemade cedar arrows, Bear quiver, and almost forgot to add, Fred Bear hat for good luck.

Great deer and pics.! I can't think of a better way to honor your father than to continue to hunt with his bows.  I hope my son will continue to hunt with mine when I'm gone some day.

My dad passed away and I found in the closet the Bear kodiak magnum and a box of bear arrows that he had. I shot the bow a lot when I has young and plan on taking it to the woods next year after I find a string for it.

I hope I can do my Dad proud as you have.

Thanks guys. Dad was a very good field archer back in the day, but never had much luck with deer. That is the first deer kill for the bow, finally got it broke in.More to come for sure.
