Browning Wasp
« on: November 16, 2009, 11:35:00 AM »
I have a 1970's Browing Wasp recurve my dad bought new and never shot. He's getting old now with middle to late term alzheimers, prostate cancer, and throat cancer bothe radiated sucsesfully within the year (one last month), So I've been doing alot more Dad things lately. I though it would be cool to get this old bow shooting while he's still around. He won't ever shoot it, but I have a friend from church that would like to try shooting. And I thought this bow might be a good one for him to try.

Bow,
browning wasp 45# 56" amo

Questions,
brace highth ?
what arrow to shoot ?

I've tried to tune this bow before and couldn't get rid of the string slapwhats going on ?
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I would try 1916's with 125 grn heads. But what is his draw length?
If today was perfect, There would be no need for tomorrow

You might even try 2016s. Brace, I'm guessing here, maybe around 8".

If you need a new string, I would be happy to make one for you to help your friend out.

Just pm me if you want. Good shootin, Steve

Thanx Steve but I bought a string about a year ago, last time I tried to tune it. Offers like that realy remind me of what a great group of guys we got here.
