I had 2 bucks come in this morning, both 8's, and get right on top of me. The smaller buck must have winded me, and spooked a little bit. They were both ready to explode out of there. The smaller buck was looking in my direction, and I couldn't draw. I bided my time, and eventually the smaller buck started walking away. When his head went behind a tree, I drew, and shot the bigger buck straight down through the top of the back at 3 yards. I clipped his spine, but still got an exit wound down near the bottom of his chest. Pretty good for a 2" broadhead. He's not a trophy, but he's a good deer for this area. He's my biggest yet, and I'm proud to get him.
