Bleah.  My son and I keep our blaze orange fleece vests in the car.  I hate getting out to the field and then remembering.

Thanks for the tip I would have forgotten all about it.

Thanks Jim. A couple years ago I went on a hunt on private property adjacent to some public land. I didn't realize it was youth hunt weekend. I crossed from the private onto the public, found a great setup and up the tree I went. About an hour and a half later, hunters in twos started coming by me and set up all around me. I glassed a couple pairs and noticed there was a youngster in each pair. Suddenly the hair pricked up on my neck as I realized what I was faced with.  :scared:

I didn't have a stitch of orange with me, and I'm surrounded by prepubescent boys with loaded guns!! I started making a bunch of noise as I came down my tree, packed up my stand, and headed out. I whistled and dragged my feet through the leaves until I was well onto the public property. Now I try to always carry something orange in my pack!

I wear a reversable HSS safety vest and a reversable hat, camo and blaze orange on both of them.
