Selfbow Buck
« on: November 17, 2009, 01:19:00 PM »
Hello Friends,

Here is my buck from this am, not much of a story on this one. He slipped in on me and was at 30 yds., by the time I first saw him.  I collected myself and stood, he was turned just slightly towards me at 14 yd . The shot was true, not a complete pass through but I had two holes and the big Magnus did its job well. I heard him crash 70 yds away

This is my eighth with my selfbows.  This one is a  62 “Osage selfbow 55# @ 28", made from a piece of Alabama Osage I bought off of George Robbins (G) here on Tradgang. The leaf hides the exit wound.

Short on Pope long on Young, but I could not be happier. Looking for a doe now but will no doubt see the big guy on a regular basis, so it goes.

Thanks for looking
Sean

Short on Pope and Long on Young, I love it!  That is right up my alley with the deer I kill.

Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.
