Find a local archery shop, preferably one that knows about traditional bows. Do they have strings and are you sure which string goes with which bow? If the strings look really old and questionable then best to go to a shop and get some new ones. An archery shop should have a bow scale to measure draw weight at different lengths. If you don't have a shop nearby, there is a homemade way to measure draw weight on a bathroom scale described in the Bowyer's Bibles. You can likely draw the 58" bow to 29.5". If it starts stacking on you before you reach full draw I would stop at that point and not keep pulling farther.
