Nice.  My first point was from a beer bottle too.  You might want to hang onto that one and shoot number two.  There used to be a web page called knapper's anonymous that showed how to knap a beer bottle point.  Those pages might still be available somewhere.  Better watch it you will turn around one of these days and realize you have stashed a few thousand pounds of rock around your place.

That is one killer head. To bad you can't do that with American bottles. They are made in China and would break.

It's functional art emphasis on both words,great job! Do you want to look back years from now and say man I should have saved that first one,or man I should have used that first one?Whatever you decide I hope you have no regrets,the next 150 will probably be a little easier to make a decision on just don't kill your liver for the sake of raw material.

Date it with a marker and keep it.  down the road you will want to compare your first head with later heads.  I still have my first knapped head.Oustanding work by the way.
