how close is this set up?
« on: November 27, 2009, 03:47:00 PM »
I just got a neet navajoe thru a trade.  I had some 2016's with 5" fletch and 28 3/4" long with some 125grain heads on them so i shot it with them.  They flew almost perfect and hit the target right where i was aiming.  Im drawing 28"s and 55pounds.  Does that arrow setup sound about right?  Just curious.. im new and ignorant?

I am of the "if it aint broke don't fix it school" on arrow set up.

If they are flying where you look why change?

At 55#'s I would use either 2016 or 2018. Hope that helps.

doesn't matter what the book says, if it flies straight & hits where ya look just play with point weight to see how much it changes & play from there. yes it sounds real close by the way.

I would put some broadheads (of the same weight) on and see what happens. If they fly good, let em rip!
