Undeserved delivery from New Zealand
« on: April 10, 2007, 10:28:00 AM »

Jeff (Ho'nehe) you are one kind friend. I will treasure this ulu knife and has a permanent place in my kitchen for everyone to see. I will use it with pride and it is sharp in every meaning of the word!

I really don't feel I deserve such a beautiful and extremely well made gift but am honored that I am considered a friend by you enough to be graced with one that you made by your own hands.
I've always wanted one of these ever since I seen one on a special once, about these tools.
But this has much more emotion and meaning since it's from such a wonderful friend and it's antler handle from the deer that walks a landscape of ultimate beauty and bliss.

You are a true craftsman and your friendship is even truer!
You really made me happy Ho'nehe......you have this way about you, Thank you so much for your gift.   :campfire:

Absolutely top notch work there. Very impressive. And you're right, that is a treasure to be displayed. Well done, and good on both of ya, Jeff and Shell!

I seen Rachel Ray using one similar to these when she went to visit Alaska (I'm a cooking show freak) and I always wanted one since....

Jeff surprised me with one in the mailbox and it really brightened my spirits especially with alot of things going on right now, and lately....

Treasures for the soul!   :)

Shell,
never met her but she is on tv all the time here. if you remember on one segment she recieved a special gift from a viewer, it was a blanket with her dogs picture on it. that store is just a few miles from me and when the segment aired on tv the store got HAMMERD with orders!! she made that store huge overnight!! Catherine's mother got a blanket for her with Norman & Gertie on it, it is beautiful!

Ken, I know wherever she goes, she's sure to attract a crowd! She came here to Milwaukee a year or so ago touring the breweries, Harley Davidson, downtown shops and restaurant's and caused quite a bit of commotion.

Wish I would have known that day 'cause that's all part of my truck route and would rest for lunch near the harbor when she was here. I had no idea until it was all over....you know me, a day late and a dollar short.                   :knothead:

She's so cool! Gonna have to check out that shop now!

John,  Thanks for your kind words     :)     there's so many on here that are outstanding people...just happy to be among them all and welcome to the family, it's a pleasure!!     :wavey:
