Help-- Points don't fit --
« on: November 28, 2009, 10:01:00 PM »
:banghead:    :banghead:

Got some Easton XX75 Camo Hunter Aluminum Shafts and none of my tips fit. The threads work but the unthreaded part that goes into the insert is too thick so I can't get it past one or two turns. Is it the inserts or do I need a different point? Who has has some success with the right points for these?

thanks
sam

All inserts for Easton XX75 camo or any other Easton arrows are all 8/32 thread and the shank is the same.Have you tried running a 8/32 tap in it? I had a set of inserts in a set of carbons I had to run a tap through all of them. All inserts for carbons or aluminum are standard on the thread and shank, unless yours may be damaged.

Sometimes glue will come through the little hole in the insert when being glude in.Then the points won`t go all the way in.Heat the insert to soften the glue while turning your point in.They won`t come loose then.
