A Season in Pictures...with little comments here and there
« on: November 30, 2009, 10:21:00 PM »
I've been a bit remiss to update everyone on the Baker season.  Another great year for us, some disappointments, and lots of highlights!  Here is a short pic essay...with some commentary.

Early on it's all about antelope....they are just plain tough to stalk, but fun nonetheless.

Walt Francis gives a look...

Antelope spotted...several stalks attempted, mostly by Kory Baker.  Goats win every time.

Bow season arrives for elk and deer.  Kevin Bahr and Don Davis grace us with their companionship.  It proves to be a tough year for most of us.  Lots of other hunters, moving cows, ATV's, you name it.  We worked hard and had some luck.

Riley Fisher and his Dad, Fish, with young Riley's best buck to date.  Taken with Rocky Mtn. Recurve.

Then it was all Kory....

After draggin out this antlerless deer, Kevin surveys the blood red creek the animal died in.

So far, the kids outdid the old folks....but a couple weeks later, Don Davis showed us mountain folk how they do it Florida style with his first elk!

Fast forward to general season, and my favorite time to chase whitetails....

Always beautiful here, and lots of game too.

Excellent stuff... brings a tear remembering the years I lived in MT.  Just amazing. Never forgot the lesson that 10% of the country holds 90% of the game! Finding that 10% can be a life-long venture!  :)

Thanks for the chance to "see it" all again and rekindle the memory bank. Been way too long...
