Broadhead Question
« on: January 06, 2007, 04:57:00 PM »
Ordered some broadheads, and the just got here today.  Instead of getting the vented ones he sent solid blades.  Is there enough of a  difference, that I will notice it?  I usually shoot Magnus 125 glue on vented, 2 blade, he sent the 125 glue on solid 2 bladed.
Thanks,

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

I doubt you'll see any difference.

They will shoot terrible!!!  That's why I sent them to ya.  Maybe now, you will leave some critters for the rest of us to shoot.  LOL>>>

Carver,
Kind of figured it to be something like that.  One of the things I challenged myself to learn better this year was to realize when folks are helping me out.  Happy to have you on the team.

Make sure they spin perfectly true and they will shoot just fine.

In my view, you got the better head and should stay away from adding more blades!  Test after test, after hunting experience has totally convinced me that two blades are FAR better than three or four!  There is 49 years of bowhunting in this answer!

Weaker, noisier, and with extra blades, poorer penetrating...ESPECIALLY on bone!

Too short I agree. I`ve got magnus I heads that I`ve shot for years. They started out 1.5 and are barely over an inch now and still deadly.RC

Wish they would make a serrated glue-on like the old Raptor head.
