Right on, Van!  :bigsmyl:

Killdeer~running out of wall space...  :help:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Van, I went old bow crazy for a couple of years and ended up with over 50 recurves, You can only horde so much stuff-So, I sold em all and now I'm hangin all the selfbows and backed bows around the den of death  :)   :)  Plus, I figured I'd give someone else a chance to appreciate all those nice peices of wood.

Hillbilly, I agree with you about the target bows from that era...they more so than the hunting bows were spectacular with all the different shapes & exotic woods.  I still have my collection even though I lost wall space a long time ago  :)   Doc

These are two of mine and I've had them since they were new

Gray Buffalo, I've been thinking about getting one of those b-mags.
I hear they are awsome shooters

I got a private tour of the Florida plant with the late Frank Scott. It was a sunday afternoon and the plant was closed. He took me to an area that was fenced in so to dozen Kodiaks, many late 50's & mid 60's grizzlies, a few target bows. All in for repair. Bear never repaired them back in the day.

However, they did refinish a few bows in the 50's and early 60's. For the most part they just replaced the bow no questions asked. Now that was customer service.

I saw bins of stored exotic hardwood any bowyer would faint over. I sat at Fred's desk. I was 8 feet off the ground that day. I was blessed that day for sure.

Just picked up this K-Hunter (very early 70's).  60" AMO & 50lbs.  I need to get an original type guard for the riser and possibly replace the rug, but other than that, it is a beautiful old bow.  Now the work begins building my strength to hold 50 lbs.
