Quiver Leather
« on: December 04, 2009, 12:02:00 AM »
I am trying to make a quiver from latigo leather.  I went to a couple of hobby shops and a leather shop.  It seems everything is either too small or I have to buy an entire cow hide.  Is there a website that might sell a reasonably sized piece of leather?

Tandy Leather (I believe originally out of Texas) has great sales on sides every once and a while.  I picked up one on sale for 2/3's off.  $150 down to $50.

I've found that I'm always losing my quivers and arm guards to friends and family so I just make another one.  I can never have too much leather supplies.

Good luck.

Bush,

I have an idea for you, I made this quiver out of a piece I bought at Tandy's for $25. It's 5/6 weight and I had left over. One thing about Latigo is that it will bleed for a long time. You can get dyes/stains that will look like Latigo but won't bleed on to your clothes. If you have any questions please feel free to call me and I'll do what I can to help you.  760-289-2013
