2nd Annual WI Bunny Romp.. Jan 16 (Post Hunt Report)
« on: December 04, 2009, 09:27:00 AM »
We had a great time last hunt, with over 30 people showing up.  The romp was also featured in the Premier issue of Trad Archers World.  Let's make this coming Bunny Romp even better.

Dates, Once again it will take place in Jan.  I was looking at Jan 16 or 26, possibly the 30th.  The meeting place will be again at the Waterloo Gun and Archery club house.  I think this worked out great last year.

It will be a pot luck, if possible bring a dish to pass.  Last year no one left hungry.  I will have the Coffee and Rolls ready in the morning.

 Jan 16th.            :archer:

Direction to the Waterloo Gun Club.  And a map Link;
      http://web3.userinstinct.com/47891051-waterloo-gun-club.htm

From Milwaukee-  I-94 west to Lake Mills/Waterloo Exit.  Take Right on Hwy 89.  Follow 89 into Waterloo which will become 89/19, take a right (North) at 4 way intersection, stay on 89 until 89 takes a sharp left.   Keep going north which will be Cty T; follow for about a mile, you will see a sign on the right for the Waterloo Gun Club take a left at the sign.

From Madison-  I-94 east to Marshall/Deerfield Exit.  Take a Right on Hwy 73 to Marshall, at the stop light in Marshall take a right on Hwy 19 to Waterloo.  Take a Left at 4 way intersection 89 North.  stay on 89 until 89 takes a sharp left.   Keep going north which will be Cty T; follow for about a mile, you will see a sign on the right for the Waterloo Gun Club take a left at the sign.

You mean the wolves haven't eaten all the bunnies?  8^).   Sounds like a great time, just a little to long of a drive for me.  I'm still using those Legacy arrows you made me.

Can we order up some warmer weather this year? Ten below zero loses its appeal after a while. Depending on the snow, I may bring my beagle along this time...or some snow shoes.   :)

Bunnies and bows are as good as it gets!
The last weekend in January is the Kalamazoo expo, so if we could stay away from that weekend it would be good.  Not sure how many of the others go to that, but I know I will be there.

You know, I was talking to my daughter this evening and told her that if the weather was better I might bring Emmett (our beagle) on the hunt. She said, "is that the hunt where you...(you know)?"

I have to stop telling her when I do embarrassing things. What the heck, bowhunting wouldn't be half as fun without making a fool of oneself every now and then.   :biglaugh:

I'll pencil that date in on my calender.

Would anyone be up for another bunny hunt in February ? In the Monroe,WI area. it's about 1 hour south of Madison.

I was wondering how much it is for an out of state hunting license? I might be able to come up this year. I read last years thread and didnt see it mentioned......Roy

Blind One: A WI nonresident 5-day small game license is $55, full season is $85.

Kevin: I'd definately be up for it. Monroe is only about an hour and a half away from me.
