Full-coverage plains-style quiver
«
on:
December 08, 2009, 03:57:00 PM »
I'm having a hard time with my camera the last two weeks for some reason, but couldn't resist putting these up
The second pic is real clear anyway.
Another plains-style side quiver, this time made to completely cover the arrows. The beaded pouch is actually for another quiver and still needs the flap beaded. The little pouch is a "puzzle pouch"... there's a bit of a trick to open it. Adults usually can figure it out easily enough, but it's fun to watch kids try it :D
There's a bit of extra mojo with this one: the pheasant feathers are from my first bird and the puzzle pouch has an antler tine from one of my grandfather's last bucks (the last?).

Ken, you're going to get a much closer look at that pouch next month!
The full coverage quivers have their advantages, especially if you have an average or short draw length. My arrows are all 31" BOP though, so to get an arrow out would take a bunch of movement.
If you think this quiver looks good now, just wait until it's new owner has it for awhile... I have a bit of clue what will be happening when it's personalized and it's going to be insane!!
