Just a week and day and we will be chasing bunnies at this time.  Anybody decide what their bringing for food?  Table seems a little empty right now.   :)

MICHIGAN ANNUAL ST JUDE BUNNY STOMP 2010

DATE: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 20th

TIME: 8:30 AM

DIRECTIONS: US127, PRICE ROAD, EXIT 91 (ST JOHNS, MI) Follow PRICE rd east to SLEEPY HOLLOW STATE PARK.. (We will have some signs posted}

9AM OFFICIAL START MORNING BUNNY STOMP

12PM LUNCH (BRING A DISH TO PASS) DRINKS, PLASTIC WARE WILL BE PROVIDED. WE WILL HAVE A GRILL AND A COUPLE FRYERS.

1PM ST JUDE RAFFLE (PLEASE BRING SOMETHING FOR THE RAFFLE TABLE)

AFTER THE RAFFLE WE WILL HAVE FUN SHOOTS AND A AFTERNOON HUNT FOR ALL THAT ARE INTERESTED.

POINTS TO PONDER

WE MUST FOLLOW DNR SMALL GAME LAWS, HUNTER ORANGE AND SMALL GAME LICENSE...LONGBOW, RECURVE, AND SELFBOW ONLY BLUNTS & JUDOS ONLY (NO BROADHEADS OR FIELD POINTS) (FIELD POINTS ARE OK TO SHOOT AT THE TARGETS, BUT WE'D LIKE TO STAY SAFE WHILE HUNTING IN GROUPS AND STICK TO BLUNTS,SMALL GAME HEADS (NO BLADES), AND  JUDOS..THANKS)

BRING YOUR BEAGLE

THERE WILL BE A SMALL FEE TO ENTER THE STATE PARK (UNLESS YOU HAVE THE ANNUAL STATE PARK PASS)...IF THERE IS NOONE AT THE BOOTH, THEN THEY TYPICALLY PUT A ENVELOPE ON YOUR WINDSHIELD TO PAY ON THE WAY OUT...

Happy valentines!!! does anyone have a portable charcoal kettle grill they can bring along?...i thought i'd bring my venison bean dish..plus a bunch of hotdogs for folks that want chili dogs or any kids that want hot dogs...i'll have a turkey burner also.... I also have plastic ware, foam cups, dishes , plates, napkins and drinks.... water, and some 2 liters of pop.

I will also have 4 straw bales with targets, the iron bunny, and firewood.

If the snow stays this deep it will unfortunately keep the bunnies close to their holes..so the hunting will be tough.but we will have a great time hunting, shooting arrows, shooting the bull, and eating like kings!!!!!!
