great shot! I have shot them from the ground but prefer a tree for whitetails as they are sooo good at seeing me

That is one fine trophy.  All traditional bow kills are trophies.  You can now say you have taken a deer with a longbow, the bow of our forefathers and one of the oldest weapons of man.  It feels like a mighty good acomplishment, feels like you did something very special and challenging for yourself.  Welcome to the club, brother of the bow.

I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

 Its an accomplishment to get a deer with a trad bow; and now you know how much it means.
