Thanks to All you Guys....Big Time.....

Today I was on the ground as I continue my quest for an "Eye Level Buck" or even a doe......had an Awesome experience playing cat and mouse with a doe......she knew I was not supposed to be there but wasn't sure what I was.....and bobbed and weaved her head to try to get me to flinch, which of course I didn't.....when she put an 8 inch tree between me and her I scrambled my body into a shooting  position before her head cleared the narrow tree.....she came to a stop, staring strait at me as I was on one knee and at full draw.......when I released I knew right away that I forgot to "pick a spot" and shot toward the middle of her full silhouette ......the arrow hit a tree behind her a fraction of a second after it sailed about 3 inches over her back,,,,,,I knew my mistake, but came home all pumped up anyway due to the adrenaline rush of a traditional experience.......how did I not take this traditional hunting up many years ago in my life ?  .....51 and in my 1st year of this....I hope I can do this for about 30 more years....!!

Wow Mark that is awesome. You have the fever, isn't it great. I am 51 also and have been doing this for over 30 years and feel the same way you do. The excitement of hunting at eye level is unmatched. Truly a one on one hunt. Best of luck to you. And I don't care what others say, I watch the eyes. Maybe don't look straight on, but the eyes don't lie.

I can relate to that comment. I converted back to Trad two years ago and I am having the best time I've ever had!

Congrats.   And what do you mean small, it is the biggest one you ever shot.

You will never forget this one regardless of the number and the size that follow.
