New for "2010" The Lost Creek " Recurve
« on: December 11, 2009, 10:18:00 PM »
Hi Gang, this is Chad of Lost Creek Bows, and I have been working very hard on the New Recurve that I'm releasing tonight. This bow will be offered in 56" and 58" in length. It has the same great grip as my longbow and the riser is a forward handle for a more forgiving shot just like my "Lost Creek" longbow. I have built 4 different forms over the past 2 yrs and I have finally gotten what I feel is a recurve bow that I can proudly produce and offer to the public. I strive to build a fast, quiet and shock free shooting bow that is affordable and easy to look upon, and I feel that this recurve that I am unvealing tonight has it all. This recurve has the lines that I look for when I look at other recurves, it's very quiet ,and smooth, to myself personnally, there is non-existant shock. I shot this specific recurve(the 1st off the form) over my chrono and it was registering in the 190's fps and up, depending on the arrow. It seems to be rating up there with the fastest out there, now just to let you know, I myself am currently wondering if this is fact, so tomorrow I will be running a variety of field tests to determine if this is fact or fiction.  Thanks Chad

Outstanding looking bow!  After shooting Don Wilson's Lost Creek longbows, I'm a big fan.

Looks to be a lefty as well, let me know if you might need a "field tester" for that bow bud    ;)    :clapper:

Nice bow Chad. I know it will shoot as well as your longbows.

You will do well with it in your lineup.

Sweet looking bow! The profile kind of reminds me of my old Black Bear with a bit shorter riser. I love the riser. Is that rosewood dymondwood? Do you have any shots of the limbs?

You should sell a bunch, Chad, especially if you remember the shelf goes on the other side    ;)

This Model will be called the Lost Creek "MUCHAKINOCK", which is pronounced - "munchakhana". This means "mighty little devil" in the local indian dialect. The "Muchakinock" creek is a tributary off of the "Lost Creek" stream here in Iowa.

Looks good. I have been thinking about trying a recurve.  Is it the same cost as your longbows? Someone told me to try your longbow. It is in my plans. This might change those plans

Limb reminds me of Bear too. Hope to see some numbers with bow draw weight and arrow weight. Every bow I own will shoot 190fps with the right arrow - does not say much without the rest of the specs. Nice looking bow and fine craftsmanship.
