Ferret,

We Gotta Talk! From what I see you are the poor sucker   :bigsmyl:   ,  ahhh, I mean LUCKY WINNER that I am going to be building one of my recurves for.     :D

In a nutshell,

The bow that I build is 58" groove to groove.  The bow is designed to be fast aiming and blind friendly.  Those who have shot them seem to like them.

IF you look at my avatar you will see what the bow looks like when drawn to a full 30 inches.

Here are a few more shots of a couple that I have made.  The bow design was modified from a bow that metsastaja bought and had shipped to my house so he could pick it up on his way home. The original designer was Elmer Patton.  I made a few slight modifications to the bow.

Ferret WY.....what poundage bow are you going to get and what arrow length, point weight, wood or carbon? Can't have you going off to a hog hunt with a new bow and old arrows. Let me know and I'll get you fixed up with some new hog arrows.

A message to Pete and Randy.

Since I hooked Pete into doing the bow build and
said I would cover the material cost.

I want you both to know any woods (native or exotic) are in the mix.

Have fun and I look forward to the bow build.

Pete are you going to ship me the bow or do I have to budget for an airplane ticket and feeding you for the weekend.

I knew I would be foiled again...but a guy has got to work (thank goodness)!

At least on of the "good" guys got it    .  I always look forward to what giant elk Randy kills this year.

Marty, you making any PBS donations?  Not that I will ever be able to outbid "Deep Pockets" Hoffman

Oh, are you putting up the swamp buggy if we get to 300 for you?

Merry Christmas everyone.

Steve, Steve, Steve,   had you made your bid IN PERSON, and I knew who was bidding against me, I would gladly have let you "win" that osceola hunt. I heard you were intimidated by Marty's celebrity.........

Randy just so you know there are bigger ones then "Blockhead".   We will just have to wait and see if Marty can put you on them.  I do have a sweet Pig Pit with a platform.  This video will give you an idea..

Here is Pete working the kinks out so we could do some modifications. There is now a carry in swivel seat.

and here is the tasty sow he took the next day after working the kinks out.

"The Godfather" wanted me to post this picture to show the kind of hogs Marty has down there...I'm pretty sure it isn't photoshopped since he can't run the computer good enough to post his own pictures   :biglaugh:

AND

One thing I've wanted to do for quite a while is to meet Biggie in person too.   ANOTHER  reason to look forward to the PBS banquet in March.
