I have been looking for a Autumn Storm Long Bow by John Maus now for about 5 years. They are rarely seen for sale used which is a testament to his bows. Had to cull a good bow from the herd to get this, but it was worth it! He is a bowyer here in Michigan that you just don't hear much about. Quality, top notch-Maybe the best lines and workmanship I have seen yet in a custom longbow. It will happily digest a wide variety of wood, aluminum and carbon whilst delivering it with authority.

It has Bacote limb veneers with bamboo cores, a jeweled footed riser and the grip is like and old friend's handshake--SOLID! It is 62", 52#@28". The jeweling is unique to his bows and it adds a very nice look. Anyone looking for a top notch long bow should give John a call and demo one. He is a pleasure to speak with on the phone and very helpful via email.

Woodchucker,

The elevated rest came on the bow when I bought it. I thought I would run a few arrows through it with it set up that way since all my bows I shoot off the shelf. To my surprise, I liked it. I think for now, I will leave the hoyt rest on there. Have not tried vanes off of it yet, may have to fletch a couple up and see.

Thanks guys for the kind words on this bow--It is easy on the eyes but it performs better than it looks!

Can you take a picture of the bow that shows the limb profile?

Sure can, it resembles the profile of my GN Fireball--It's not a D-Shaped bow.

That is one incredible LB! The craftmanship in that Riser is amazing. I never cease to be humbled by the talent displayed on this site, from Pro Bowyer's to member's crafting their own gear. Congrats!

A beauty!
