What would be a good wood for a multi-lam( thinking 3) bow for a 6yo girl and can I get this at H.Depot or Slowes?

I used the red oak to make my daughter a bow from last year. I just bought the best piece of trim that was 1/4" by 2" glued a handle on and tillered it. I think that you could use a thicker piece and not do any lams to make a bow a little heavier. Let me know if you need more info. and I will be glad to help.

I made this Hill style bow for my 6 year old grandson Jaden.
I picked up some 1/8" paralell maple 2 inches wide x 48" long from a lumber store. I glued 2 of them together, profiled the blank, tillered it and then added the handle.
I would think it is about 10-12 pound draw at about 14 inches. Shoots great.
I think making the 1/4" arrows were harder to make than the bow.
