Wild Fire Artistry...The Moral of the Story is...
« on: December 17, 2009, 01:15:00 AM »
If you let a decent buck walk for a couple years he can grow to a monster!  Proof positive below!  Trails cam pics of the same deer in '07 and '08, then the reward in '09!

Stay tuned...alot of work to do on this one!

What a cool idea!!!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

You guys in the Midwest make me crazy......letting a deer walk so you can let it grow and shoot it in its prime. i can remember when Howard Hill wrote that seeing game was considered to be a success. Geeeez!

This deer lived and died in the western end of Kentucky.  My 17-year old nephew is the one pictured with the deer.  He hunts as hard with his cameras as he does during the seasons.  This is a nice buck, for sure... but he has pictures of even bigger ones that he is still after.

Bill,
Don't kid yourself, LOL, Howard Hill would have done the same thing, if he only had one buck tag to fill and knew there were bigger bucks out there.  He hunted in a different place and time!

It is easy to pass up the younguns when you already have meat in the freezer, you only get one buck a year, you have plenty of time to hunt, and you have trail cam pics of monster bucks running around your property!

Late season on public ground, that youngun is getting a closed sign headed his way.  LOL!

Oh, puleaseeeeee...Chip. I don't raise expectations...your talent does!

Another prime example of the fact you got artistic beaver genes in your blood!        :D

Doc,
You just can't stop can ya...man putting the pressure on me!  I am wearing jeans, but I think they are cotton, not beaver.  And I hope they are not in my blood, cuz they could cause some clots.

Here is the latest...

Chip did you use Ipana toothpaste as a child.  Perhaps you got some Bucky Beaver genes.

Great work my friend.
